A Photo-Walk with Tom

In November 2023, I met up with a new friend I had connected with on the internet through photography communities such as Threads, Instagram, Refrakt, etc. His name isTom Bland, and he’s a really great guy. It was fun to stroll around Hoboken with him, reminiscing as he used to live there for some time with his wife, Diana. We spent a couple of hours there, and I think we both captured some great shots considering the weather conditions. Now that I think about it, we managed to beat the rain as we parted ways. Perfect.

I decided to bring my Leica Q with me for this one. There’s something about the simplicity of the camera that I truly enjoy. Additionally, I appreciate the fact that it features a full-frame sensor. While some may argue that there’s little to no difference compared to crop-sensor types like the Fuji X-Pro2 (which I also own), to my eyes, there is a bit more “breadth” to the images. I suppose it’s a matter of personal preference.
